Tony
Likes plans, lists and knowing where everyone is supposed to be.
Tony, Lova, Elliot, Elmer and Dante have a habit of noticing things. A strange clue. A place they haven't seen before. Something that doesn't quite add up. That's usually where the story starts.
Five people who can look at exactly the same thing and come up with five completely different ideas.
Likes plans, lists and knowing where everyone is supposed to be.
Quick, observant and usually the first to spot what matters.
Curious, brown-eyed and rarely satisfied with the first answer.
Elliot's blond twin. Same situation. Often a completely different idea.
Dante generally prefers finding out to standing around discussing it.
Sometimes there's a perfectly ordinary explanation. Sometimes finding it takes all afternoon.
Lova finds a tiny painted door at the bottom of an enormous old tree. It wasn't there last week. There is no handle on the outside. Then Elliot notices a little trail leading away through the grass.
Dante reaches under a park bench to retrieve a ball. Instead he finds a folded map. Someone has drawn a red X in a place that isn't marked on any ordinary map of the park. Tony says they should probably leave it alone. Nobody moves.
The train slows down. Outside is a tiny platform, one green bench and a sign none of them has seen before. The doors open. Nobody gets on. Then Tony looks at the route map. There is no station here.
Something rings beneath the water. Once. Then again. Elmer says it sounds like a bell. Tony says bells don't normally live at the bottom of lakes. Dante is already taking off his shoes.
The twins notice a house with two identical front doors. Same colour. Same number. Same little brass bell. Elliot knocks on one. At exactly the same moment, someone knocks back from the other.
Someone has written two words in enormous letters on the beach: THIS WAY. Further along, there is another message. And another. They seem to have been written for someone who hasn't arrived yet.
Headquarters is useful for storing files, maps, snacks and Tony's clipboard. Most interesting things happen somewhere else.
Parks, beaches, shops, libraries, swimming pools, streets and neighbourhoods.
Trains, buses, ferries, holidays, walks and trips that don't necessarily go to plan.
A strange object. A sound. A clue. Someone who sees something everyone else missed. And they're off.
Something you noticed. Something mysterious. Something funny. Or something that deserves investigating.

Stories, little mysteries, adventures and things that definitely weren't in Tony's plan.
